Meet Shaina, our Director of Operations and Medical Affairs at Novel Biome. Shaina earned her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia and has worked in medical affairs for over 5 years since leaving academia. Passionate about medical education and scientific communication, she has a deep interest in alternative medicines that harness the body’s innate systems and extensive knowledge of FMT and the gut microbiome, with a special interest in gut-brain communication and its role in disease.
