Position Overview:

As a Production Technician at Novel Biome, you will play a vital role in the manufacturing process of our products. Working within a team-oriented environment, you will be responsible for executing production tasks, maintaining equipment, and ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards in a Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) facility. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic and a commitment to maintaining high standards of efficiency, accuracy, and quality in all aspects of production operations.

 

Type: Full-Time On-site

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform sterilization and maintenance checks, including cleaning out-of-place (COP), cleaning-in-place (CIP) and servicing in-place (SIP).
  • Operate production equipment according to established protocols, ensuring proper setup, operation, and maintenance.
  • Adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and standard operating methods during all tasks to maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to perform production tasks, including weighing, mixing, and blending of raw materials, as well as filling, labeling, and packaging of finished products.
  • Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to ensure products meet specifications and quality standards.
  • Report any deviations or non-conformities to the appropriate personnel and assist in implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Maintain accurate production records and documentation, including batch records, production logs, and equipment maintenance records.
  • Keep job knowledge current with professional training opportunities
  • Enhance organizational reputation by striving to meet and exceed performance expectations
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures at all times, including proper handling of chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe operation of equipment.
  • Keep all surfaces of equipment clear and clean

 

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma (preferred: 2-year science diploma or university degree)
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or related industry preferred.
  • Previous GMP experience preferred; GMP training provided by Novel Biome
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing production tasks and recording data.
  • Proven documentation skills

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet production deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
